The next step: cleaningAfter sorting, the nuts proceed to the cleaning phase. Cleaning is very important to ensure the nuts safety for consumption. Dirt, debris, or dust on the nuts is removed by a machine called a blower. The nuts are then rinsed in clean water and a specialized cleaner. This step is an important part of the whole process, as it makes sure that the nuts are clean of any impurities, dirt etc. to be consumed safely and healthily by all.
Raw nuts are first cleaned and then roasted. It is the roasting that has us all loving these nuts for their delicious flavor and crunch. This cooking takes place in a machine called a roaster. The roasting process is precisely controlled and monitored to ensure the nuts cook evenly and not burn. This process is crucial because it influences the flavor of the nuts.
Now, once the nuts have been roasted, they need to cool. This takes place in another machine that blows cold air through the nuts. This cooling step is important to halt the nut cooking process and bring them down to a cool, safe temperature. If they don’t cool down properly, they may keep cooking and will lose those ideal crunchy bites.
Separate packaging is the last step of nut production. A machine fills plastic bags with the precise amount of nuts, which are then deposited into the bags. Once the bags are filled, another machine seals them tightly to preserve the nuts before they are sent to market. This step is key because it keeps the nuts wonderful until it's time to eat them!
And finally, they make it to the packing stage. A bagging machine does just that, filling each bag with the correct amount of nuts before moving on. Once the bags are filled, they must be sealed and labeled so they are ready to sell.
